Mina Sadeghi is an Iranian-American multidisciplinary artist whose practice explores memory, place, identity, and the quiet spaces between lived experience and imagination. Born and raised in Tehran, Iran, Sadeghi brings a distinctly Persian sensibility to her contemporary work, drawing from the colors, patterns, landscapes, architecture, and visual rhythms of her cultural memory.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design from the Art and Architecture University of Tehran. Her creative practice spans painting, illustration, photography, and jewelry design. As an illustrator, she has contributed to numerous published books, developing an enduring relationship with storytelling through image and form.

Sadeghi is also the founder and creative director of Mina Art Studio, a photography studio in Edmond, Oklahoma, specializing in portrait and wedding photography. Her photographic practice further informs her understanding of light, composition, gesture, and the intimate relationship between people and their surroundings.

In her abstract paintings, Sadeghi combines expressive layers of acrylic, restrained color palettes, gestural marks, geometric elements, and fragments of recognizable forms. Her compositions often exist between landscape and abstraction, inviting viewers to discover their own sense of place within them. Persian visual traditions are present not as literal representations, but as subtle traces—echoes of gardens, tiled courtyards, textiles, architecture, and memories carried across distance.

After immigrating to the United States in 2016, Sadeghi’s work became increasingly influenced by the experience of living between cultures. Her paintings reflect this space of in-betweenness: between past and present, belonging and displacement, memory and reality. Rather than documenting a specific place, she creates emotional landscapes—places remembered, imagined, and continuously reinterpreted.

Sadeghi’s work has been exhibited in Oklahoma, including exhibitions at JRB Art at The Elms and Allied Arts OKC’s ARTINI. Her work continues to explore the relationship between personal memory and universal experience, inviting viewers to pause, look closely, and find something familiar within the unfamiliar.
